SWORD - Paperback Illustration Samples

Like HENGE, the paperback version of SWORD contains several of my illustrations. Here are some samples:

Opening spread. The illustration is based on a lake I visited in Cornwall:

Look who joined the cast... Arthur!

Morgan le Fay grows a year older in SWORD. Gorlois says, don't grow up so fast!

Mystery and magic!

Heated conflict:

SWORD contains a lot of angst:

What's the Le Fay Series without fire?

You can check out the Amazon page for SWORD here.

In other news, more reviews are coming in for both HENGE and SWORD.

Nice review of HENGE from Readiculously Peachy:

"This book was simply put, AMAZING!! There was nothing wrong with this book, nothing... yet EVERYTHING was there. Everything which a Young Adult reader loves and looks forward to in their favorite book... it's there!! This book gives me the same powerful and emotional feelings which I also had towards Harry Potter! The book was filled with suspense scenes, loads of mystery and amazing kick-ass characters!"

She also gave a 5 star review of SWORD! If you have already read the book, you can check out the review!

I'm always thankful to hear that someone enjoyed the series and took the time to review. It's so very helpful and I couldn't ask for more.

I've been writing the 2nd draft of Book 3 and enjoying it immensely. (First draft was written in 2011.) It feels great to be back in Camelot and I'm really excited for this book. In the meantime, I will continue to post promotional artwork and research photos for SWORD and I hope you'll enjoy them!

SWORD - Art: Morgan le Fay

I've been working on the Le Fay series for over 5 years. I'm still as excited as ever. Mainly because...

It's an honor to manifest this girl and her heart full fire and shadow into the world. There are few characters that bloom into my mind with the force of a tornado and she is one of them.

My writing and art influence each other and work together to create a character. This is one of my spontaneous studies of Morgan le Fay.

Remember I mentioned I got a new gig?

I'm super stoked to be a part of this cutting edge team that will no doubt be spearheading the future of entertainment and immersive technology. I tried the virtual reality demo at the studio and my mind was blown. I'm super humbled and honored to be helping out a company that's making history.

I started on Monday and already learning a lot! It's a sci-fi dream come true to create art for virtual realities.

News Week - 01/04/16

How was your NYE? For NYE, we went to Shine, a party featuring all things shiny and glittery. It was a lot of fun and I got randomly sprayed with glitter! The next day, for a total opposite experience, I tried out a sensory deprivation floatation tank. A very sci-fi experience and good way to get over the NYE hangover. I felt like I was floating in outer space.

Speaking of space, I finally saw Star Wars!

Best of 2015: I'm so thrilled that Morgan le Fay made V's Reads most Resilient Heroines list!

What's in store this year?

I got a new gig! I've got a post set for tomorrow with more details.

In other news, a big project of my very own is brewing.

How about books? I've got these guys making their way this year: a picture book, a graphic novel, a new novel, and... yes, Le Fay Series will continue! As soon as my projects find their destiny, I will announce details.

My ultimate 2016 goal is to start the big project and be on track for steady growth.

Don't forget my holiday gift for you, dear readers! The giveaway is still on!
