In Memory of Artist Paul Pepera

Today I'm sharing the work of Paul Pepera who unexpectedly passed away on 3/27. He was the co-founder of System Era and created Astroneer with his team. He was my friend, colleague, and a huge source of inspiration. He was kind, brilliant, extraordinary, and passionate about art. He was the best 3D modeler I personally knew. When he smiled, it was genuine and warm.

We had a lot in common besides our industry--we both understood what it was like to have a passion project worth working on until the wee hours on a week night. The two of us worked at three of the same companies (though never at the same time--missing our timing by a couple months--which we laughed about): Valve, Microsoft, Oculus.

He was already a star shining in this world and I always thought he was going to keep going up and up like a shooting star. It didn't seem real that his journey here was finished. Paul was young--a year younger than me. It shakes me up to see him gone. I will remember Paul, always.

Check out Paul's phenomenal work here.

Rest in Peace and shine on, my friend. The inspiration you gave us lives on.

GRAIL - Initial Reviews

Reviews for GRAIL (Le Fay series 3) are coming in! I'm thrilled that readers are continuing to follow Morgan's journey until the finale!

Reviews below:

"Just when I think Realm Lovejoy can’t keep me on my toes and have me fall more for this series I am wrong. the third book in the LeFay series is just as action packed, fascinating and complex as the first two. She has taken the story of the lady of the lake and king arthur and turned it on its axis and twisted it into a really exciting and entertaining story."

"Realm Lovejoy never fails to keep me highly entertained with this sensational series and Grail is absolutely no exception to this rule!"
--Rachel of The Rest is Still Unwritten

"Morgan was my kick-ass heroine of 2015, and she's back this year with another rollicking adventure."

"To sum up, if you haven't heard about the Le Fay series, go check it out! It's a fun and fresh retelling of the legends that will appeal to the fans of modern fantasy stories as well as those who prefer the more classical approach. GRAIL is a great continuation and I'm really excited to see what will be in store for Morgan in the fourth book."

I look forward to hearing more thoughts as readers finish reading! Reviewers who post on Amazon can get the fourth Le Fay review copy when it's ready.

Paperback of GRAIL should be ready later this spring.

Reviews are coming in for the CLAN audiobook! Check them out:

""One of the best I've ever listened to."

This was a really interesting story. As a Jeff fan, I can't help myself, so picked this up as soon as he posted on facebook.

What I really loved about this story was just that, the story. It was so intricate, so well written and of course performed that I was totally hooked in from the first five minutes. This is, in fact going to be one of my all time favourites probably for a long time. If I could give this one 10 stars I would.

The characters in here, were so deep and wonderfully developed, their backstory and lives just so heartbreaking and wonderful. I felt and went through their journey with them and was on the edge of my seat with it many, many times."

"Excellent, dynamic narration. The story was an intense ride. Every character was well-developed and the story was compelling throughout its entirety. Where it starts and where it ends will blow you away. My heart broke a few times, and I cheered during others."
--Piggy P.

"I was drawn in and by the end I was fully invested in Twain and his friends and their struggle to survive an impossible situation."

--Reg

"By the end of the story, I saw the clones as individuals people who deserved to live. It was quite a journey to get to know them and their reason for being."

--MelHay

"“Clan” had an interesting story and excellent performance. This book embodies the best in Science Fiction an idea explored with an interesting plot with great characters. I recommend this book to mature YA readers or adult readers, the book explores dark themes."

--Michael

"As well as being an exciting action adventure, Clan has the classic science fiction quality of building a new world by which our own with it's faults and growing trends can be reflected back to us writ large, as in Brave New World, or 1984."

--Norma Miles

If you would also like to review, just let me know and I'll give you a download code!

Next week I will begin posting Le Fay series updates again!

News Week - 03/07/17

I just got back from GDC in San Francisco--apologies for the week of silence. I got to attend many inspiring talks by various talents and see old friends in the game industry. Highlights: Costume design concepts for Westworld, PlayDead team's (they made Limbo and Inside--super awesome looking games) talk, seeing the art dev of Old Man's Journey.

Now I'm back and slowly catching up with life.

CLAN eBook sale begins tomorrow! Check back here tomorrow where I'll be sharing the latest audiobook reviews. Once you buy the ebook, the audiobook is offered at a discounted price.

Other book news:

Novel 6 (gritty action-packed, dark novel): was greenlighted by my trusted editor. Excited to find out the best way to publish this one.

Novel 7 (dark psychological thriller): was my surprise of the year. This novel wrote itself in two weeks. I'm currently polishing it up and then I'll see what next steps are. I've been extremely obsessed with this story.

GRAIL paperback status: I've got about 50% of the art done. Projected to be ready this spring.

Le Fay 4: Second draft time!

Cheers,
